All submissions will be peer-reviewed using the following criteria.
Workshop/ Simulation Session
- Clarity of Proposal: Easy to follow and understand
- Goals and Objectives: Clear statement of what session will accomplish
- Background/Theoretical Framework/Importance to Field
- Well-grounded in the medical education literature
- Importance to medical education
- Design
- Content appropriate for target audience
- Format appropriate for 90-minute time frame
- Format allows for adequate audience participation
- Topic Timeliness and Interest Potential
- Addresses a current topic in medical education
- Has the potential to attract a sizeable audience
Short Communication or Poster Presentation
Research in Medical Education
- Clarity of Abstract: Easy to follow and understand
- Goals and Objectives: Clear statement of what research accomplished (or will accomplish)
- Background/Theoretical Framework: Well-grounded in the medical education literature
- Design/Methods
- Strength of research details
- Reliability and validity of methods
