Liver organoid models

Our lab started out as an embryonic stem cell biology lab studying endoderm development, and with our shift to focus on fibrosis, we have applied our stem cell biology expertise to the differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) into liver organoids. This allows us to take advantage of our experience with genome editing to modify genes in PSCs and study how these changes affect liver organoids in different models of fatty/inflammatory and fibrotic injury.
