In September, 2020, a grant was award to Dr. Karen Norris of the University of Georgia entitled "Evaluation of pregnancy on vaccine-induced immunity and protection in a pre-clinical model of RSV infection". The Morrison laboratory is participating in this primate study with a sub award from this grant. The project, using primates, will explore our VLPs as a maternal vaccine for protection of neonates from RSV challenge.

In July, 2020, the Morrison laboratory was awarded a Bassick Family Foundation Grant to explore the use of VLPs as vaccine candidates for SARS-CoV-2.

In March, 2020, the Morrison laboratory was awarded a new NIH R01 Grant for the development of RSV VLP vaccine candidates for the elderly using cotton rats as a model system.
