Teaching Oral Presentation Skills: STAGE Model
The Brown Macy Team produced a series of "trigger tapes" depicting oral case presentations in a range of medical settings, including Ambulatory, Medicine, OB, Pediatrics and Emergency Room. Produced in DVD format, the trigger tape scenarios provide a rich opportunity for case presentation skills development, and is accompanied by a powerpoint presentation introducing the STAGE mnemonic as a teaching tool. The trigger tapes and accompanying curriculum have been successfully used in educational forums with students, residents, and faculty. The contents of the DVD can be sampled below, and is available - for shipping charges only - through the STFM Bookstore. For additional information, contact Brown Macy Team Leader Alicia Monroe, MD.
