Brief Bio
Dr. Branchini is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with expertise in ophthalmic imaging and clinical interest in the medical treatment of retinal diseases. Whilst completing her medical education at Boston University School of Medicine, she completed a clinical research fellowship in Optical Coherence Tomography at the Tufts/New England Eye Center and the Research Laboratory for Electronics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
After completing her residency at Tufts/New England Eye Center, she practiced comprehensive ophthalmology including cataract surgery and the medical treatment of retinal diseases in private practice in New Hampshire. While there, she developed skills in the refractive use of intraocular lenses in cataract surgery as well as manual small incision cataract surgery.
With roots in Massachusetts and a keen interest in medical education, she has joined the faculty at UMass Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences to continue research and bring high quality ophthalmic care to central massachusetts.
