Brian Rosenberg, MD - Walden House Mentor
Brian grew up on Long Island, NY. He attended The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, where he graduated with a BA in neuroscience, then completed a ScM in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at The Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. He completed medical school at the University of Maryland. He and his wife Couples Matched at the University of Rochester (Brian in Internal Medicine, Liz in Orthopaedic Surgery). He completed his Chief Residency before starting a career in General Internal Medicine. They moved to the Boston area in 2014 and he has worked at Lahey ever since.
Brian works as a General Internist – mostly in the ambulatory setting, also as a Hospitalist on the Residency Teaching Service. In 2021, Brian was named Associate Program Director of the Lahey Internal Medicine Residency Program; his focus was improving the ambulatory experience, and he was named the first Medical Director of the Lahey Resident Medical Practice. He revamped the Ambulatory Curriculum which has been a major success. He has remained active with education as a preceptor and lecturer. He has been a regular teacher at Tufts School of Medicine and has been involved with students in all 4 years of medical school. He has won multiple teaching awards including the Small Group Teaching Award through Tufts, and the Most Outstanding Inpatient, Outpatient, and Overall Teaching Attending through the Lahey Medicine Residency.
Brian lives with his wife, Liz, who is a Foot and Ankle orthopaedic surgeon. They share two wonderful children, Asher and Bodhi, as well as 2 dogs (Bosco and Lyra) and 2 cats (Trey and Halley). Brian is an avid runner – he has completed 7 marathons, including the Boston Marathon in 2017. He enjoys team sports, specifically baseball, as well as skiing and hiking. He loves live music, especially Jam Bands and Classic Rock groups. Finally, Brian has become a respectable home cook – his homemade pizza on Friday nights is a treat the whole family looks forward to!
