I am interested in the basic mechanisms that control cytoplasmic mRNA translation and decay in eukaryotic cells. Currently, I am investigating how the yeast decapping enzyme is targeted to different mRNAs and whether specific decapping activators have a role in controlling the decapping enzyme’s targeting specificity. |

I am a research associate and lab manager for the Jacobson lab. My primary research focus is the timing, specificity, and mechanism of the interaction of Upf1 and associated factors with the ribosome during translation. In my spare time I enjoy hiking with my husband and dog, playing the banjo, and kayak fishing. |

I am a postdoc interested in investigating the mechanisms of translational readthrough using yeast as a model organism. I am curious about factors affecting readthrough efficacy. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring new places, trying new things, and reading. | ||

I am a fourth year graduate student interested in using genome-wide approaches to study mRNA-associated factors that influence the efficiency of translation termination and stop codon readthrough. I love reading and playing the piano when I’m not in the lab. |
