Schedule: 3+2
Our 3+2 schedule consists of a 3-week block of either wards service, ICU, or night float, followed by 1 week of elective, and 1 week of ambulatory clinic (as illustrated above). This 3+2 schedule has many advantages, including:
- Increased elective experiences, both inpatient and outpatient, which can be tailored to your future career goals
- Dedicated week of longitudinal continuity clinic every 5 weeks
- Guaranteed "golden weekend" (two-day weekend) at least every 5 weeks
The schedule for our preliminary interns also follows the 3+2 pattern, with an additional week of elective in place of ambulatory clinic.
