New Inpatient Building

We are excited about the opening of a new 80-bed inpatient building directly across the street from the University Hospital, targeted to open in the Fall of 2024. The new building, which is the former site of Beaumont Nursing Home, is being re-designed as a “Hospital of the Future” with audio and video capabilities that will allow residents to work with and learn novel digital medicine platforms and engage in virtual consultations and our growing Hospital at Home Program. The Residency program will have 2 teams of 1 resident and 2 interns caring for a maximum of 16 patients per team. The re-designed building will have a dedicated resident conference room, resident lounge, and dedicated working spaces.
