Career & Professional Development
The professional development of our students is embedded within the Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences core competencies and the very culture of our school, and we celebrate the breadth of careers that our graduates pursue.
As such, we developed a unique approach to career and professional development, integrating training into the curriculum, staged in a time-efficient manner across years of training, to ensure that all students develop professional skills essential for scientists in any paths they pursue: written and oral communication, working within diverse teams, building a professional network, and proactive career planning. This centralized approach to skills development enhances equity and inclusion for all students, and creates an open atmosphere in which professional development and career planning are further supported via peer-to-peer and faculty mentorship.
