		Ronald Adler, MD, FAAFP Associate Professor Director, Primary Care Practice Improvement Center for the Advancement of Primary Care UMass Chan Medical School, 1989 UMass Chan Family Medicine Residency, 1992 Clinical/Academic Interests: Women’s health, obstetrics Why Hahnemann? Residents of this program are deeply committed to learning to be providers of superior care to their patients. They are attracted to the health center by the diverse patient population and the excellent support staff. What I value most about Lincoln Street is the full spectrum of family care delivered to people of various ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.

		Katharine Barnard, MD Associate Professor Brown University University of Massachusetts Medical School Umass Worcester Family Medicine Residency - Hahnemann Family Health Center Clinical/Academic Interests: Care for vulnerable populations; trauma-informed and relationship-based care; and teaching students and residents about office-based family medicine and obstetrics. Why Hahnemann? This is a health center where I have found inquisitive, empathetic, community-minded colleagues, dedicated to the mission of providing excellent family medicine to all patients and to teaching the next generation of family doctors. I can practice full-spectrum family medicine, including care for families and pregnant patients, addictions treatment, and office procedures, and care for a diverse patient population. In addition to working at Hahnemann Family Health Center, I provide medical care at Hector Reyes House, which is a medical recovery home for Latino men in Worcester. Personal Facts: I like to do just about anything outdoors, and to cook for people. I play the oboe, and am learning cello as well.
		Kimberly Bombaci, MD Assistant Professor Director of College Health UMass Chan Medical School, 2010 UMass Chan Family Medicine Residency (Hahnemann), 2013 Clinical/Academic Interests: Women's health and pediatrics Why Hahnemann: I originally came to UMass as a medical student. I loved the supportive environment here and stayed for my residency and now as a faculty member. UMass strives to be on the forefront of medical innovations and keeps patient care a priority. The organization is also dedicated to training new physicians to be compassionate and competent which is fun to be a part of.

		Colleen Bregman, PT, MPH Ambulatory Clinic Manager About Colleen: I've been the Clinic Manager at the Hahnemann Family Health Center since 2014. I went to Northeastern University for my undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy and earned my Master’s Degree in Public Health from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. I've worked at UMass Memorial for 30 years in roles including Physical Therapist, Director of Rehabilitation Services and more recently as clinic manager in Family Medicine. I'm invested in process improvement and practice transformation. I earned my LEAN/Six Sigma Green belt in 2016. I currently live in Auburn, MA with my husband Howard and son Matthew.

		Mariah Bundy, PA-C, MPAS Pronunciation of Mariah Bundy MGH Institute of Health Professions, 2020 Clinical/Academic Interests: I am interested in Women’s Health, Public health, Preventive care, Infectious Diseases, Tuberculous (TB) Why Hahnemann? My decision to join HFHC was driven by a desire to work with empathic, passionate colleagues who find fulfillment in serving a diverse, ethnic, and socioeconomic population. I am eager to learn more about family medicine and to contribute my skills as a medical provider. I am excited to start providing care to the patients at HFHC! About Mariah: I live in Massachusetts now but was born and raised in rural Maine near Sunday River Ski Resort. I studied Biology at UMaine Orono and worked for several years as a clinical research coordinator at the Boston VA in West Roxbury before I went to PA school at MGH IHP. I enjoy jigsaw puzzles and ballet classes. I also love to read! Every month, I meet up with friends for book club. I promise we talk about the book.

		Megan Coveney, PA-C Physician Assistant Assistant Professor About Megan: Raised in Northbridge, MA, I've always lived in Massachusetts. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Westfield State University. I then went on to study at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester for my Master of Physician Assistant Studies, graduating in 2015. Why Hahnemann? Prior to starting at Hahnemann in August 2017, I was practicing urgent care in the Boston area. I enjoys the wide variety that urgent care medicine has to offer, as well as serving a diverse patient population. I'm grateful for the ability to work with students and collaborate with residents every day in my role.

		Stephanie T. Carter-Henry, MD, MS, FAAFP Associate Professor Education Director and Medical Director Pronunciation of Dr. Stephanie Carter-Henry UMass Chan Medical School, 2008 UMass Chan Family Medicine Residency (Barre), 2011 Clinical/Academic Interests: Clinically I enjoy care of young famllies, prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum/newborn care. I enjoy procedures including colposcopy. I am passionate about care of patients with complex mental health needs and co-management with integrated behavioral health. I am interested in the interface between mindfulness, leadership, and process improvement and how to incorporate this into medical education. I am committed to developing sustainable practices that allow us to care for our communities and educate our learners to deliver quality care and how to work with/lead a highly effective team. I am interested to use the power of the EMR to improve sustainability and reduce burden and non-value added work for our teams. I enjoy the variety in my work which includes teaching, inpatient MCH, primary care, college health, procedural care and leadership. About Stephanie: I live in Holden, MA with my husband Matt and children Samantha and Elsa (named after her maternal grandmother and not Frozen!) I enjoy the New England seasons and have a favorite part of each of them! In particular, I love the Rhode Island shoreline and frequent the beach with my family in the summer. My extended family is mostly in Massachusetts and Rhode Island and I've been known to drop the occasional "r" in conversation! I am one of two children with a younger sister in Denver and definitely have older child tendencies. I'm a UMass "lifer" as you can tell from my training! Why Family Medicine? Family Medicine values caring for entire families and communities and I draw strength from this. There is so much insight and effectiveness you can gain as a doctor for an entire family and it makes my work even more meaningful. In particular, the opportunity to care for families through the transitions that come with pregnancy, delivery and transitions after delivery is one that I find rewarding and family medicine has such a unique ability to care for families in this way - it is the best part of what I get to do. I moved to Massachusetts for my fellowship in 2016 and fell in love with the state the minute we arrived. I am a mother of 2 adventurous boys (plus any number of foster children we have at that moment) and 3 dogs. I love cooking for friends and family, spending time outdoors year-round, and carpentry. I’m very extroverted and love any opportunity to hang out and chat. Why Family Medicine? I love the unique opportunity integrated behavioral healthcare in family medicine provides. I like that I get to treat patients across the life span while collaborating with their medical providers on their treatment plans and needs. I believe family medicine enables a more complete and better care by combining pical medicine with behavioral medicine in one environment.
		Henry Del Rosario, MD Assistant Professor Pronunciation of Dr. Henry Del Rosario Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University West Suburban Family Medicine Residency Program, Chicago Clinical/Academic Interests: Full spectrum family medicine (adult inpatient medicine, inpatient obstetrics, and outpatient preventative medicine), Ultrasound, Clinical Informatics About Henry: I live in Providence, RI with my wife, Jisoo, a critical care pulmonologist at Brown. When I'm not commuting, I also enjoy exploring the intersection of medicine and art (watercolor and photography.) Why Hahnemann? I have a passion for medical education and the theory of teaching and so am excited to be part of the culture of learning at Hahnemann. Why Family Medicine? The beauty of family medicine comes from seeing patients from birth to death, in the clinic and in the hospital, and multiple members of the same family. As a doctor you are privy to some of the most intimate, vulnerable, and beautiful aspects of human experience. I find that this variety is mentally fulfilling, fun, and sustainable. A wide spectrum may also bring in difficult situations or patients very different than you, but uncomfortableness stretches your heart muscle— and empathy is something we need more of in this world.

		Michael Ennis, MD Professor Assistant Dean of Student Advising, UMass Chan Medical School Pronunciation of Dr. Michael Ennis University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, 1983 UMass Chan Family Medicine Residency (Barre), 1986 Clinical/Academic Interests: Student/Resident mentoring, family centered maternity care, travel medicine About Michael: I'm from the Bronx, New York. I worked as a taxidriver in NYC for several years prior to going to medical school. Why Hahnemann? Teaching residents and students feels like a special privilege that I get to enjoy every day. It is definitely one of the top reasons that I have continued to work at Hahnemann since 1986. Bearing witness to, and occasionally helping, our residents transform into highly competent clinicians is a blast! Why Family Medicine? My reasons for choosing family medicine continue to constantly morph and evolve. Perhaps, as a student, I initially came to this work enchanted by the idea of caring for the broadest of spectrums: “the cradle to the grave.” Nowadays, it is much more the continuity that I have with my families that sustains my passion for being a family doctor. Caring for extended families, sometimes 4 generations, delivering the babies of women whom I delivered as babies....these things too feel like a unique privilege that family doctors get to enjoy.
		Emily J Eshleman, DO, MS, CAQSM Assistant Professor Pronunciation of Dr. Emily Eshleman UMass Sports and Exercise Medicine Fellowship UMass Fitchburg Family Medicine Residency Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Clinical and Academic Interests: Sports medicine, Osteopathic Medicine and OMT, public health and preventative medicine, mentorship, teaching students, residents and fellows, and taking care of the whole person and family. Why Hahnemann? I chose to work at HFHC because of my wonderful colleagues who are equally passionate about caring for the community in a comprehensive, compassionate and equitable way. HFHC is an innovative practice that offers so many services to its patients and I am so grateful to be a part of this team. I am excited to teach and work with the residents and medical students rotating through family medicine. I especially want to help our learners grow their sports medicine and Osteopathic medicine knowledge and how we can best use them in primary care. About Emily: I am originally from Pennsylvania and grew up outside of Philadelphia. I went to college and graduate school in Massachusetts where I met my husband who is also a physician. We live in Brimfield and love exploring all of the trails in central and western MA! We love to go kayaking, hiking, biking, and walking on the trails with our Goldendoodle puppy Benji. I also love yoga, poetry, art, traveling, spending time with family and being outside as much as possible.

As a maternal and child health provider, I am committed to improving the delivery of care to mothers, fathers, and children-- the family. I am committed to decreasing health disparities. I am not only interested in the care of the patient but interested in addressing the wellness of physicians and healthcare workers. I am not only a doctor but committed to my family, my faith, and my community. On any given day, what will you find me doing? Family Centered Maternity Care focuses on a continuum of care that results in a good birth outcome. As a family physician in an environment where potential risk can be addressed during the preconception or interconception period, we can have an impact on mitigating risks and aim for better outcomes clinically and socially.

I'm the associate editor of The 5 Minute Clinical Consult (Lippincott/Wolters Kluwer Health). I can’t believe I’m fortunate enough to get paid to write and edit and learn! About Jeremy: After completing a fellowship in health services research in Rochester, I practiced family medicine, college health, and emergency medicine for about 10 years before coming to UMass. I was also a medical advisor of a Planned Parenthood site in CT. I have a particular interest and expertise (certificate of added qualifications from the ABFM) in adolescent medicine. I enjoy seeing patients at Clark University. Outside of medicine, I enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking and downhill skiing. I run for exercise. I love (really love) to sing and folk dance. Why Hahnemann? I joined Hahnemann because I felt a particular kinship with the faculty there. We share a sense of mission to our patients and a passion for teaching our learners. We offer full spectrum women's care, office procedures, and treat OUD with buprenorphine. All of our residents come with diverse interests and needs, and they are well-supported by an equally diverse, intelligent, amazing, and compassionate faculty committed to resident education. Why Family Medicine? I think I would get bored doing the same thing every day! Instead, I am constantly challenged by the innumerable presentations we see here in our office. I get to practice to the full extent of my knowledge, training, and experience. I have several multigenerational families in my practice, and find getting to know all my patients very satisfying. Over time, I have grown with them. I cannot imagine practicing any other medical specialty. Although I will never be in the highest paid of physician specialties, I am already the most rewarded for my work.
		Rebecca Gwaltney, MD, MPH FMOB Education Director Assistant Professor Pronunciation of Dr. Rebecca Gwaltney UMass Chan Family Medicine Residency, Family Health Center of Worcester, 2022 UMass Chan Medical School, 2019 Clinical/Academic Areas of Interest: Obstetrics/Maternity Care, Women's Health, Hospital Medicine, Travel Medicine, Adolescent Medicine About Becca: Born and raised in Massachusetts, I'm a New Englander through and through. I studied Biology and Spanish Language at Providence College, Public and Global Health at Tufts School of Medicine, and Medicine at UMass Chan Medical School. I completed residency training at UMass WFMR, at the Family Health Center of Worcester. Since moving to Worcester for med school, I fell in love with Central Mass and the Worcester area, and I can't imagine ever leaving! My partner and I live in Charlton, where we love doing outdoorsy things like hiking, camping, biking, and most importantly - playing with our golden retriever puppy, Sam (short for Samwise the Brave - from Lord of the Rings!). We also love playing board games and role-playing games, like Dungeons and Dragons. (Yes, I am a huge nerd.) Why Hahnemann? I am so thrilled to join the Hahnemann Family! Over the course of medical school and residency training, I fell in love with Worcester - I am so lucky to continue serving this amazing and diverse community! Collaborating with learners is a passion of mine, so I look forward to working with residents and students in this rigorous academic practice. And most importantly, I felt right at home in the supportive and warm environment created by the incredible staff and faculty of HFHC.


		Mukti Kulkarni, MD, MPH Assistant Professor Pronunciation of Dr. Mukti Kulkarni Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, 2012 University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency, 2015 UMass Chan Medical School Preventive Medicine Residency, 2017 Clinical/Academic Interests: public health, preventive medicine, correctional health About Mukti: I grew up in the Midwest and have settled in Providence, Rhode Island. In addition to working at Hahnemann Family Health Center, I am part of the core faculty of the UMass Preventive Medicine Residency and a regional medical director with the MA Department of Youth Services. I also analyze Worcester's infant and fetal mortality data. I enjoy mountains, hiking, visiting national parks, food, and furniture/interior design.. Why Hahnemann: I started working at Hahnemann when I started my preventive medicine training at UMass and haven't looked back! I feel fortunate to work with a wonderful variety of patients, supportive colleagues, and curious medical students.

Ramaiah Medical College, Karnataka, India Clinical/Academic Areas of Interest: Leadership in Medicine, Family Medicine advocacy, Resident teaching, Preventative medicine, Lifestyle medicine, Office based surgical procedures About Manju: I live in Massachusetts with my husband Mohit and two daughters -Jiya and Myra. We have moved quite a lot from India to Texas to Iowa, now finally settled in MA to raise our children. I strongly believe in mental and physical wellbeing so outside of work a lot of my time is focused on mindfully spending quality time with my family. I enjoy exercising and listening to audiobooks/podcasts. I am a strong advocate of gender equality and a feminist at heart, so a lot of my focus is also on finding ways to decrease gender disparities with a long-term goal of improving quality of life and achieving equal rights for women in the world. Why Hahnemann: I chose Hahnemann as here I have the privilege of working with some very inspiring faculty. I love the opportunity to be working with great residents, behavioral health specialists, social workers, clinical and admin staff. It is amazing to see such a big team working in collaboration with the aim of superior patient care. I enjoy teaching so I love the focus on resident education. I also enjoy connecting with patients of all age groups and different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. It is highly satisfying and humbling to hear their stories, successes, challenges while collaboratively making a personalized health plan to meet their needs. I’m thrilled to be back in MA now and planning to stay here. I love crafting, spending time outside with my dog, and visiting Disney World. Why Hahnemann? I chose to work at Hahnemann because I love the population of patients that we serve. In any given day I can see the entire spectrum of ages and presenting concerns and I love that. I also love working with our learners and being able to share my interests with others in that way. The people who work at Hahnemann are a supportive community to continue to grow and learn.
		Tope Oluwa, MSW, LICSW Behavioral Health Consultant/Clinical Social Worker Springfield College (BS 2002, MSW 2006) Internships: Family Health Center of Worcester (2004-2005); Worcester State Hospital and Recovery Center (2005-2006) About Tope: I have worked in different facets of social work and ‘am continually intrigued by life lessons that help deepen knowledge and understanding. I value the true sense of community and welcome opportunities that support positive change in a way that gives room for all to thrive. I appreciate and embrace getting to know others and fostering relationships that nurtures growth.


		Nicole Parker, DNP, FNP-BC, RN, CLC Family Nurse Practitioner & Certified Lactation Counselor UMass Chan Medical School Clinical/Academic Interests: I love caring for young families during their preconception, pregnancy and postpartum journeys. My clinical interests include neonatology, pediatrics, women’s health, lactation counseling and utilizing both pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies to promote healthy lifestyle habits. I enjoy incorporating alternative medicine techniques into the care I provide my patients to promote physical and emotional wellbeing. I am passionate about incorporating the nursing model into my practice and enjoy looking at the patient holistically in the context of their family and community. About Nicole: I live in a surrounding town outside of Worcester with my husband Ben and our beautiful golden retriever Bailey. I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and graduated with my Doctor of Nursing Practice from UMass Chan Medical School. I hold several years of nursing experience that ranges from caring from the adult in the ICU to the premature infant in the NICU. In my spare time I enjoy running, hiking, reading, photography and spending quality time outside with my family and dog. Why Hahnemann? The majority of my nursing career has been throughout the UMass healthcare system and these positive experiences lead me to want to remain in the organization as a provider. I have worked at the bedside at both the University and Memorial campuses. I am looking forward to working at Hahnemann and providing primary care services that I hope will prevent many of the hospitalizations I have seen as an inpatient nurse. I also live locally and enjoy serving my surrounding community.
		David Runyan, DNP, FNP-BC, RN, NRP Family Nurse Practitioner Graduate School: UMass Medical School, Rural Health Scholar Clinical/Academic Interests: As a family practitioner, I am passionate about fostering long-term therapeutic relationships with my patients across all stages of life. My clinical interests include community-oriented primary care and the innovative field of community paramedicine, family planning, maternal and child health, and advancing preventative medicine through patient education. My doctoral concentration in women’s health has enriched my capability to deliver comprehensive care, specifically tailored to individuals assigned female at birth. Embracing the nursing model, I am committed to providing holistic care that acknowledges and meets the diverse and intricate needs of every patient I serve. About Me: Raised in central Massachusetts, I've always felt at home in this vibrant community. Nature is my sanctuary, and when I'm not caring for patients, you'll find me hiking, camping, paddling, or seeking the perfect spot to hang a hammock. Photography has become my artistic outlet, allowing me to capture and share the beauty of the world around us, a pursuit born from a lack of skill in drawing or painting. My commitment to healthcare extends to underserved populations. I’m an active volunteer at the Epworth Free Medical Program, where I proudly serve as Chief Operating Officer. As a founding member and the inaugural vice president of the Worcester Free Care Collaborative (WFCC), a nonprofit organization comprising seven free medical programs, I am dedicated to providing culturally sensitive care to uninsured and underinsured patients. In 2023, I was honored to be elected as president of the WFCC, continuing our mission to make a meaningful impact on healthcare accessibility in our community. Why Hahnemann? My experience as a Rural Health Scholar and my involvement with the Worcester Free Care Collaborative have led me to build numerous relationships with the staff of the UMass Department of Family Medicine. Upon stepping foot on the Hahnemann campus, I felt an instant connection to its environment and interprofessional team, knowing immediately that HFHC was the perfect setting for my practice. The staff at Hahnemann exemplify the essence of a true "Family" Health Center, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this dedicated team. I am committed to continuing my service to the families of our community in this fulfilling role.

		Virginia Van Duyne, MD Program Director, UMass Chan Family Medicine Residency Associate Professor Pronunciation of Dr. Ginny Van Duyne Gordon College University of Vermont College of Medicine UMass Chan Family Medicine Residency Program, Family Health Center of Worcester site Clinical/Academic Interests: Underserved communities, addiction treatment, resident education and women in medicine About Ginny: I grew up in the Worcester area and feel fortunate to be dedicating my career to this community. I love teaching and caring for patients in the inner city while living with my family in a farm town just outside of Worcester. I have been Program Director since 2020 and, prior to that, enjoyed many roles within residency leadership for years. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of residents’ development during their three years in our program, as well as creating and supporting an environment that is conducive to learning and growth.

		Jeremy Vincent, MD Assistant Professor Tufts University, MS UMass Chan Medical School, 2017 University of Michigan Family Medicine Residency Program, 2020 Clinical/Academic Interests: Preventive medicine, geriatric medicine, resident education About Jeremy: I am originally from Taunton, MA and currently live in Natick with my wife and my son. I lived in Massachusetts my entire life until I left to go to Michigan for residency. I loved my time in Ann Arbor, but am excited to be back home. I enjoy watching Boston sports, reading history novels and swimming. Why Hahnemann? I knew that I wanted to work in an academic setting and be able to work with and teach residents and UMass’ commitment to education was really impressive. It is really exciting to be a part of a faculty that are so committed to resident education.
