Did you know that North Central Massachusetts is home to 250,000 people who live in more than a dozen cities and towns? Although Fitchburg is less than a one-hour drive from Boston, it is nestled in an area that is heavily forested and dotted with lakes, rivers and hills. The city’s neighborhoods are a reflection of its rich ethnic heritage. And did you know that Fitchburg was just featured on the local news show Chronicle - watch the segment here!

Culturally, the Fitchburg Art Museum hosts many quality exhibitions. The Stratton Players and the New Players Theater Guild offer theatrical performances in more intimates settings. 

Amidst Fitchburg’s rolling hills and beautiful landscapes, outdoor activities such as fishing, canoeing, skiing, camping, rock-climbing and hiking offer the opportunity to enjoy the city’s scenic, rural setting. Mt. Wachusett State Park offers hiking and bicycling, while Wachusett Mountain Ski Resort (pictured below) offers skiing as well as a wide variety of on-going cultural events. The Flatrock Wildlife Sanctuary, home to deer, hawks and other forms of wildlife, is just one mile from campus.
