Funding and Application Process
The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health will fund the interns’ international experience. In addition to the educational allowance available to all residents, $750 will be available for second and third year residents in the track to use for travel costs. The Department will also offer assistance to residents applying for travel grants.
Participation in the Global Health track is limited to four entering residents each year. A required application can be obtained from the residency administrators in Worcester or Fitchburg. At the completion of residency, a certificate of added training will be given to residents who completed the Global Health track.
