How to Apply to the Residency

2024-2025 Recruitment Season
General Surgery Residency Program

Our program’s commitment is to your safety and equity.

To achieve this:

  • Applications will undergo a review of applicants experiences and attributes. Selection of applicants is based upon value-and mission-alignment.
  • All reviewers and interviewers will take part in implicit bias training.
  • We will offer invitations only for the number of slots we have available.
  • First round interview offers will be sent October 23 –  November 1. Offers will occur on a rolling basis after this time.
  • Applicants will have 48 hours to respond to an interview invitation.
  • We request a 2 week cancellation notice if you are not able to attend your interview.
  • All interviews will be virtual in AM and PM sessions. Program details with a schedule will be distributed in advance.
  • All categorical and preliminary interviews will be conducted virtually.
  • While we welcome communication after the interview, post-interview communication from applicants is not required and will not impact the rank list.
