The COVID-19 pandemic changed our worlds in a blink of an eye. Programs and projects for young adults with serious mental health conditions had to quickly move from an in-person world to a virtual one. In this 90-minute webinar, you will hear how three different services that work with young adults with serious mental health conditions embraced the new virtual world. As we emerge from the pandemic, they will also discuss what they plan to continue.
Paul Cherchia & Dori Hutchinson will present on adapting the "Peer Academic Supports for Success (PASS)" coaching model to best support Boston University students virtually during the 2020-2021 academic school year. A look back at the challenges, successes, lessons learned and tips on how to move forward with impactful peer coaching through virtual means and in person for the upcoming year.
Debbie Nicolellis will present on how they had to create a series of “pivots” to be able to continue to provide the "Helping Youth on the Path to Employment (HYPE)" course that serves young people in need of educational and employment supports and services. They'll discuss what the pivots were, what was learned, and how changes improved the HYPE course.
