Welcome to the Student National Medical Association (SNMA)!

Dear Fellow Students,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the UMass Chan Medical School Chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA)! Since 1964, SNMA has taken on the grand task of diversifying the face of medicine in the United States. We prioritize increasing the number of culturally competent, socially conscious, and clinically excellent physicians who will serve as future caretakers of communities in our commonwealth, nationally, and globally.

Our chapter has quite an eventful year ahead. After serving as hosts of the annual Regional Leadership Institute in 2021, to organizing various community outreach and mentorship programs, we are excited to get our membership involved.

Membership is open to all individuals who wish to help advance SNMA's mission through leadership, volunteerism, advocacy, and excellence. The strength of our chapter lies in you. We encourage you to take advantage of all of the social, academic, and clinical opportunities that SNMA can provide you.
