Yonatan Tzur, PhD
Principal Investigator, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem
Former RTI Lab: Zamore Lab
Training Period: 2007 - 2008
Prior Academic Degree Institution: The Hebrew University of Jerusalem
In the Tzur lab, we aim to study the process of oocyte development from germ stem cells. In our studies we develop and utilize novel techniques including CRISPR/Cas9 genome engineering and related manipulations and single oocyte transcriptome analysis. Our long term goal is to study these processes so we can understand the reasons for the decline in human oocyte quality, leading to exponential increase in birth defects during female aging and fertility.
