About Us
The institutional Research Informatics Core (RIC) at UMass Chan Medical School offers researchers state-of-the-art technologies for working with data. Our team has 30 years of combined experience in clinical data engineering, analytics, machine learning, natural language processing, project management, reporting, and visualization.
We have two main goals:
- First and foremost, we support researchers in need of data, including help with patient recruitment, a retrospective study, a power calculation, or any data-related activities.
- When not directly supporting researchers, the RIC team is working to enhance our research informatics infrastructure to better support your needs in the future.
Research Informatics Core Team
The Research Informatics Core is sponsored by the UMass Center for Clinical Translational Science (UMCCTS) and supported by grant UL1-TR001453, chaired by Dr. Katherine Luzuriaga, and the Population and Quantitative Health Sciences department (PQHS), chaired by Dr. Jeroan Allison. Without their support and contributions, the Research Informatics Core will not exist.
