A Letter From Our Program Director

Dear fellowship applicant,

Thank you for your interest in our program. On this website, you will find valuable information about the fellowship, as well as more general information from the UMass Chan Medical School Office of Graduate Medical Education regarding salary and benefits. Here you can learn about UMass Memorial Health Care, the main teaching hospital of UMass Chan Medical School, and the City of Worcester.

The Division of Renal Medicine at UMass Chan has offered subspecialty training in nephrology for over 40 years. To date, our program has graduated over 60 nephrologists who have had an outstanding level of professional success in academic and private practice. While most of our alumni go on to become general nephrologists, some have chosen to practice in the fields of transplantation, critical care, and interventional nephrology. To be eligible, fellowship candidates must receive training in an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency program and must be ABIM board-eligible or board-certified by the expected start of their fellowship

Please, don't hesitate to contact me or Bridget Breault, our program coordinator with any questions.
