Two recent graduates from the Radiologic Technology program at Quinsigamond Community College have elected to advance their professional career as a registered diagnostic technologists and obtain a BS degree through Regis College, with a focus on Breast Imaging.
Leah Berthiaume and Bonnie Piehl started a clinical technologist internship in mammography the week of January 20th, and will participate in a weekly 3-day clinical rotation. Students will rotate through the screening and diagnostic sites and will also receive training in ultrasound and mammography interventional procedures. This is the first formal clinical technologist internship program in Mammography at UMMHC, and if successful, we will continue to accept students in the years to come.
