In the Spotlight: Crystal Lehto
Clinical Quality Project Manager
Date Posted: jueves, noviembre 05, 2015Please join us in welcoming Crystal Lehto to the Department. She started with us on September 21st as the Clinical Quality Project Manager for Radiology. Crystal has been with UMass Memorial Medical Center for 12 years and spent 5 of those years with Quality and Patient Safety before joining us last month.
Crystal has previously worked in Radiology and says “I’m excited to re-start my journey in Radiology as your Clinical Quality Project Manager – helping to lead efforts around quality, regulatory, patient experience, staff experience, and lean process improvements”. Jumping right in, she has joined two projects that are already underway, both using the “Lean” method. The first project focuses on Interventional Radiology scheduling and the second on central scheduling also known as “future radiology scheduling”. Crystal is looking forward to establishing strong working relationships with the faculty and staff.
When not at UMass, Crystal enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband. The Lehto family loves spending time in the community, participating in music and art festivals. Fun facts about Crystal - her favorite holiday is Halloween and interestingly enough, she played on a Roller Derby team in Worcester for 1 year before retiring after breaking too many bones in the process. She is happy to announce that she is break free and ready to continue her career in Radiology.
