Lauren Ferrara Recognized and Praised
A note was recently sent to radiology department chair Max Rosen praising Lauren Ferrara, MD, radiology assistant professor in interventional radiology division and program director for interventional radiology residency.
Hello Dr. Rosen and Dr. Gerson,
I wanted to formally recognize one of your faculty, Dr. Lauren Ferrara. I had the great fortune of sharing call with her this evening. We received a transfer from an outside hospital for a patient with complex urological history who was critically ill with urosepsis from an obstructing stone. Dr. Ferrara went above and beyond to help minimize any delays and aggressively prioritized best patient care. It was an absolute pleasure to work with her and I am delighted to learn that she is the IR PD. From this single clinical encounter, it is clear that she is a fantastic role model and colleague.
I know that we all work exceptionally hard to provide the best clinical care for our patients (which is never easy!), but this required special recognition.
