Health Alliance MSK Ultrasound In-service
"Dr. George "Chip” Watts came to UMass Memorial Health Alliance Hospital for a MSK ultrasound in-service on January 30, 2020. After a one hour introductory lecture to MSK ultrasound, Dr Watts gave a “hands on” demonstration to our ultrasound tech team, and our Radiology PA. Dr. Watts reviewed the anatomy and pathology for commonly imaged conditions, such as carpal tunnel, rotator cuff (imaging and interventions), knee and Achilles tendon imaging. Dr Watts encouraged the team to expand their practice of MSK ultrasound, offering support and advice going forward.
This visit was extremely well received by our US technologists who are eager to learn new techniques. It is a good example of a collaborative effort to achieve uniform quality standards for imaging across all UMass sites and will allow us to expand our services in the Leominster/Fitchburg area."

Dr. Watt's commented about the experience: "Thank you very much Amin for hosting me today, it was a real pleasure to meet your team at HA and spend some time teaching and working with everyone. The HA team could not have been nicer, and I enjoyed the visit very much. I think it was educational and fun for all involved."
