Eleventh Annual Edward Smith Lecture
The Eleventh Annual Edward Smith Lecture titled Patient and Family Centered Care, Population Health and the Role of the Radiologist will be given by James V. Rawson, MD, FACR on Thursday June, 14 at Noon in the Radiology Conference Room, S2-819. Dr. Rawson is Chief of Health Policy Division at the Center for Bioethics and Health Policy, Radiology and Imaging, Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University.

We are delighted to welcome Dr. James Rawson as the 11th Annual Edward Smith Lecturer.
Dr. Rawson graduated from Tufts University and Tufts Medical School. Among his many leadership positions, he serves as the Chief of the Division of Health Policy at the Medical College of Georgia, and as the Inaugural Chair of American College of Radiology Commission on Patient and Family Centered Care. From 2003 to 2014 Dr. Rawson was the Warren Professor and Chair, Department of Diagnostic, Therapeutic, and Interventional Radiology at the Medical College of Georgia. In 2017 he received the RSNA’s Honored Educator Award and currently serves as a board member of the ACR’s Harvey Neiman Health Policy Institute and as a member of the board of examiners of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. He has written extensively about, and is one of the recognized thought leaders, for the role that Radiologists play in providing patient and family centered care.
