Go Red for Women

The GoRed for Women raffle was a well organized, colorful and productive event that raised over $9000 for the American Heart Association - in recognition specifically of Heart Disease in Women. The key organizers of the campaign were Kathy Green, Vilma Merkelis, Rachel Carragher and Luanne Hills, along with assistance from many others on multiple campuses and departments. 53 raffle baskets were donated by departments from the University, Memorial, Hahnemann, Biotech 1, WBC, 100 Front St., Milford and Tri River campuses. Radiology was well represented with baskets donated by staff and groups from University Clerical, IR, Schedulers, Admin, Nuclear Med, Memorial Diagnostics, and Hahnemann Diagnostics.

The baskets were displayed in the cafeterias on several campuses during the week of February 26. All of the baskets were brought to the University Campus on March 2 for the final opportunities to purchase tickets. The drawing was held at 2:00 and all the winners were called at that time. There were several lucky winners from the Radiology Department; Kelly Emrich, Matt Moriarty, Deb Wester, Diane Kuindersma, Craig Hansen (AGFA), Carolyn Dupuis, Eloisa Torres and Max Rosen!
