Advanced Observation Techniques
On December 14th, 2017, Dr. Andrew Singer of the Department of Radiology and Dr. Sherrilyn Sethi of the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health/ Worcester Family Medicine Residency held an interdepartmental session with residents of both departments at the Worcester Art Museum. The goal was to hone visual perceptive and communication skills using the artwork as patient surrogates, thereby teaching the collaborative skills necessary for primary care and consulting physicians to communicate effectively about patient care. As the program was well received, we plan to build upon this model and continue these trainings.
