Letter from the Chair

Dear All,

Welcome to spring in Worcester!

This month we feature a wide array of activities ranging from Dr. Andrew Singer’s “night at the Worcester Art Museum” which he has organized to help expand our resident’s observational and analytic skills, to Dr. Sarwat Hussain’s “update from Iraq” (including a link to his interview on the AHLEBAIT TV network).  We also celebrated national employee appreciation day with an ice cream social, welcomed new faculty members, Drs. Bindman, Tyagi, Sheiman and Agrawal, and Kevin Reynolds RT(R,CT)- our new Clinical Quality Manager (It’s especially nice for me to be able to work with Kevin again after working with him many years ago at BIDMC). In addition, there are articles about the resident match, Radiology medical student interest group, St. Vincent’s Residents rotating on Pediatric Radiology, and faculty updates from last month’s EMPOWER summit. I’m also delighted to share a wonderful letter of praise for Thea Nolan and the Interventional Radiology Team at Memorial.

Please make sure to check out the EPIC updates!  Over the next few weeks we will be installing all new PACS systems throughout the department to get ready for our PowerScribe 360 roll-out in May.
