Four Women Radiology Faculty Attend EMPOWER Summit

The EMPOWER Summit, a conference held at UMass 3/16-3/18, was an immersive, interactive, leadership development opportunity for women faculty. Among the fifty attendees were four women representing clinical and educational leaders from the Radiology Departments of UMass Chan Medical School and Baystate Medical Center.

Tara Catazano, MD, Associate Professor, is Chief of Ultrasound and Director of the Radiology Residency Program at Baystate Medical Center.

Carolynn DeBenedectis, MD, Assistant Professor in the Division of Breast Imaging, is the Director of the Radiology Residency Program at UMass Chan Medical School.

Karin Dill, MD, Associate Professor, is Chief of the Division of Cardiovascular – Thoracic Imaging and Director of the 3D Laboratory at UMass Chan Medical School.

Lela Giannaris, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Division of Translational Anatomy, is a Co-Leader of the Capstone Scholarship and Discovery Course and the Director of the Summer Anatomy Enrichment Program at UMass Chan Medical School.
