Carolynn DeBenedectis Appointed to ACR Outreach Committee
Date Posted: lunes, septiembre 26, 2016Carolynn DeBenedectis, MD has been appointed to the Outreach Committee by the American College or Radiology (ACR) Commission on Patient and Family-Centered Care. Dr. DeBenedectis was asked to join the Outreach Committee due to her experience with teaching residents and attendings communication skills through simulation and her integration of patient centered care into residency training at UMass Chan Medical School. One of the goals for Dr. DeBenedectis' role on the committee is for her to help integrate patient centered care into residency programs across the country.
The newly appointed members of the Outreach Committee are focused on building relationships with other stakeholders in health care. The new committee, one of four formed under the American College of Radiology (ACR) Commission on Patient and Family-Centered Care, will develop needed tools to encourage radiology professionals to be the leaders in patient engagement. Outreach Committee members are integrated into activities such as the Radiology Support, Communication and Alignment NetworkTM (R-SCAN) and ACR 2016 — The Crossroads of Radiology® programming. They are also developing a member toolkit to encourage patient collaboration and inclusion. The new committee also serves as liaison to the College’s subspecialty and operational commissions and other professional societies.
