Patients now have access to one of the most powerful MRI technologies available with the debut of the 3T magnet at our Shields MRI at UMass Memorial Shrewsbury Street facility. This innovative 3T scanner is the first in Central Massachusetts, utilizing the most advanced MRI technology and providing physicians the finest level of imaging quality available. The 3T began scanning patients in late January and is particularly beneficial for neurological, cardiac and orthopedic diagnoses.
