Clinical Services and Locations
Clinical Services
The CTI section utilized conventional radiography, CT, and MRI in the diagnosis and treatment follow-up of thoracic and cardiovascular disorders. The close collaboration with our clinical partners assures that our imaging studies and algorithms are efficiently tailored to our patients’ and physicians’ needs. In particular, our CTI section is responsible for:
- Reviewing appropriateness of imaging and discussing with clinical services the optimal approaches and modalities
- Tailoring imaging protocols for all CTI studies
- Consulting with clinical services for CTI studies and interventions
- Providing second-read interpretations of outside CTI studies, upon request
- Providing quality improvement and assurance of diagnostic CT studies
- Providing excellent subspecialty interpretations of all adult CTI examinations
- Organizing and leading multidisciplinary conferences on topics such as thoracic oncology, cardiac imaging, interstitial lung diseases, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Locations
Our CTI section provides services at locations throughout central Massachusetts. Because the images are linked electronically, they are available to all interested clinicians and consultants, regardless of their geographical location. All CTI examinations are read centrally in our reading room at the University Campus, which serves as a hub for all clinical and educational activities, as well as a key interface for communication with our referring physicians. Lately, a substantial part of this communication is organized via electronic conference platforms.
Our CTI section services the following clinical sites:
