Sheldon Benjamin M.D. Travels to Brazil to Give Lectures and Neuropsychiatric Consultations at SARAH Rehabilitation Hospital in Brasilia
Date Posted: miércoles, julio 24, 2024Sheldon Benjamin, M.D., Vice Chair of Education, recently traveled to Brazil, where he delivered lectures and performed neuropsychiatric consultations at the SARAH Rehabilitation Hospital in Brasilia. During his visit, Dr. Benjamin also consulted on patients with complex neurobehavioral problems being treated by the neurology team.
The UMass Chan Neuropsychiatry program has an exchange program with the SARAH Hospital in Brasilia. Lucia Braga, Ph.D., the CEO and President of the SARAH Network, is a prominent neuropsychology researcher and a professor in our department. UMass Chan Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry residents can arrange to spend an elective month in neurorehabilitation at the Brasilia hospital.
In addition, Dr. Benjamin gave a series of talks and panel discussions on neuropsychiatry at the Congress on Brain Behavior and Emotions in Rio de Janeiro on June 29th while he was there.
