About Us

The Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry (UMass Chan Medical School, UMass Memorial Medical Center), offers psychiatrists advanced training in the evaluation and treatment of addictive disorders.

The program features clinical rotations and translational research opportunities, with particular emphasis on rehabilitation and longer term residential services for co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions – including chronic pain.

Focused on group treatment programs and other psychotherapy methods, the fellowship experience draws from the rich clinical and research expertise of a diverse group of faculty members. The program spans a full spectrum of specializations from psychopharmacology to multiculturalism and addiction, to basic neuroscience, psychosomatic medicine, and state-of-the-art psychosocial interventions.
