2010 Department of Psychiatry Women's Faculty Retreat
The Department of Psychiatry held it's women's faculty retreat on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Cyprian Keyes in Boylston, MA.
In its second year, the CDRO welcomed Dr. Jo Shapiro, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Director, Center for Professionalism and Peer Support. Attendees participated in a light yoga session followed up by a “Getting to Know You” exercise. Dr. Shapiro’s keynote address focused on “Sculpting a Career” and was followed up by a session on Negotiation with Associate Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Equal Opportunity Deborah Plummer. 33 faculty were in attendance, representing faculty ranks from Instructor to Professor. Free childcare was provided to all attendees.
