    Shina Bhatia's expertise encompasses descriptive and diagnostic statistics, data cleaning, and finding insights from clinical and patient data. She uses SAS, SPSS, and R for healthcare analytics. Additionally, she has a strong background in epidemiological studies, survival analysis, and longitudinal data analysis. Shina collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to design and analyze clinical trials and observational studies, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the data. Her work significantly contributes to advancing healthcare research and improving patient outcomes.

    Julie Flahive works with researchers to manage and analyze data in many different data settings. Her favorite parts of her job are working with interesting investigators and collaborators to solve problems in diverse medical research areas and learning new data management and analysis techniques.

    REDCap Database Developer and Medical Records/Claims Specialist

    Peter Lazar is the database developer for the QMC, specializing in SAS programming, REDCap project design, automation, dataset manipulation and working with large data/claims. As a REDCap designer, he can take projects from concept/CRF to the final product, including efficiency redesigns and using a strong emphasis on the resulting SAS dataset to drive the design. Working hand in hand with both statisticians and investigators, he is aware of both the research and the data needs of both parties.

    Darleen Lessard has served as the lead biostatistician and data management analyst for numerous National Institute of Health-funded cohort studies, clinical trials, and longitudinal investigations. She is a seasoned data management specialist with extensive statistical analysis experience in complex clinical investigations. Darleen has been charged with leading all analyses for assigned clinical research projects, and with maintaining a steady and open dialogue regarding timeline execution, data quality, and interpretation of results.

    Alice Min is a biostatistician in the QMC; responsible for data analysis using statistical programs (i.e., SAS, R, STATA), data management, and meeting the analytic needs of research projects based on national claims databases (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, MDS) and clinical databases. She collaborates with clinicians, faculty, and other biostatisticians on various projects.

    Elizabeth Orvek works collaboratively with clients to meet their unique data management, analysis, and visualization needs with innovative, tailored solutions. She has assisted individuals working in various sectors and divisions including administration/operations, clinical/healthcare delivery,  public sector evaluation, medical education, and academic medical research. As a consultant, she supports projects from initial concept to data capture and infrastructure development through analysis and visualization. Her favorite part of the job is creating data-driven products that facilitate decision-making and operational efficiency.
