January 10, 2024
Dr. Segal is the founder and chief scientist at SimulConsult. He did his undergraduate work at Harvard, MD, and PhD at Columbia and residency in pediatric neurology at Columbia. In the 1980s, he moved to Harvard Medical School, where he developed a novel system for studying biological neural networks and taught about the emerging field of computer neural networks. He applied the biological parts to the analysis of the mechanisms of epilepsy and attention deficit disorder. He applied the computer part to developing decision support software for diagnosis, combining biological and computer insights with the way that clinicians think about diagnosis. |
