Dear Rising 3rd Year and Graduating Students,

We are glad that you are progressing in your training. We will follow with great interest as you make your marks on our healthcare system.

You have been well-prepared to take the next steps in your professions. We are writing now with details of one of the most recent innovations to support your practice -- the Opioid and Safe Prescribing Training Immersion program (OSTI). This initiative will immerse you in small group encounters of interprofessional experiential learning regarding safe opioid prescribing practices and treatment of patients suffering from opiate misuse. The model is educational. You are required to complete preparation materials for and attend one 4.5 hour session and will receive feedback but no formal grade. Sessions are scheduled in iCELS. 

OSTI 1 for Rising 3rd Year Students only will occur in the Spring each year.

OSTI 2 for T.H. Chan School of Medicine and Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing graduates will occur between February and May of each year.

We are excited to offer you this interprofessional training to help meet the public health crisis that is spreading through towns across our country. Please let us know if you have any questions.
