UMass Chan works very closely with the United Way of Central Massachusetts. The United Way of Central Massachusetts Community Services Program coordinates many volunteer opportunities throughout the year for you to be involved with your community. United Way of Central Massachusetts is poised to help you, your family, co-workers and friends to find volunteer opportunities to match your time, interest and ability all of which will make Central Massachusetts a better place to live.
The Volunteer Center mobilizes people and resources to deliver creative solutions to community problems, offering programs and services that:
- Connect people with opportunities to serve
- Build capacity for effective local volunteering
- Promote volunteering
- Participate in strategic initiatives that mobilize volunteers to meet local needs
