Hi! I'm Michelle Hillman. I grew up in Brookline, MA, and then attended Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, where I majored in Biology and minored in Spanish. After graduation, I spent two years conducting lung cancer immunology research at MIT before starting medical school at UMass. Early in medical school, shadowing and research sparked my interest in OB/GYN, but it wasn’t until my third-year clerkship that I truly fell in love with the specialty. I was drawn to OB/GYN’s unique blend of longitudinal care, acute care, advocacy, research, and global health opportunities which allow me to care for a diverse patient population of women across all life stages. During my fourth year, I further honed my research and global health skills by spending 2 months in Kenya, studying the diagnosis and management of preeclampsia in western Kenya. When it came time to decide on my home for residency, the kind, supportive community among the residents and faculty at UMass made the decision an easy one, and I am so excited to stay here for another 4 years! At this point, I'm leaning towards practicing as an academic generalist, but if I fall in love with a subspecialty I'm open to fellowship! Outside of work, you can find me spending time with my two cats (Java and Latte), cooking/baking, and exploring Worcester’s many restaurants and breweries with my fiancé.

Hello everyone! My name is Naomi. I grew up in Norton, MA, and attended UMass Boston where I studied Biology. I then spent a few years traveling, volunteering, and working in pharmacy before I started medical school at UMass Chan Med. I’m what we call a “UMass Lifer.” During my time in medical school, I cultivated my love for Women’s Health and the field of OBGYN by working with the incredible residents and attendings that I now call my colleagues. In my 4th year, I was fortunate enough to join one of our Urogynecology attendings on a fistula repair mission to Rwanda, where I was able to assist in these lifechanging surgeries. Thinking back to my own Match Day, I can still vividly recall how thrilled I was to be able to stay at UMass for my residency training. Looking forward, my goal has always been to become a generalist OBGYN, but I am open to fellowships in the future. I know that whichever path I follow, I will have strong support from this amazing program. In my day-to-day life, I love spending time with my partner, grabbing a bite/brunch with my co-interns, chilling with my lovely kitties (Percy and Daphne), reading, board gaming, and playing tennis.

Hi everyone! My name is Fi. I was born in NYC and grew up mostly in the Netherlands, France, and England with short stops in China and Italy as well. I came back to the US to do undergrad at Williams College, where I majored in chemistry, Chinese, and comparative literature. I went to Columbia for medical school and was in the Columbia-Bassett program, which focuses on rural health. As part of that program, I followed a patient from preconception to delivery (of twins!) and confirmed that OBGYN was perfect for me. I also volunteered at a free clinic for LGBTQ+ patients and developed a med school curriculum on OBGYN care for transgender and intersex individuals. I'm interested in MFM and spent my fourth year of med school researching preeclampsia and severe maternal morbidity. Outside of the hospital, I love spending time with my amazing co-residents, playing Fantasy Football, reading, and watching sitcoms from the 80s.
