When is a building more than just a building? When it reflects the ambitions of the campus it stands upon and serves as a source of collaborative inspiration for those who occupy it.
The cover story of the summer 2024 issue of @umasschan magazine highlights the design features of the new education and research building that opened in June. The story details the ways in which it supports the institution’s aspirations for long-term environmental sustainability while simultaneously fostering unique collaborations intended to spark scientific breakthroughs.
The magazine, produced by the Office of Communications, also includes a feature about how the research teams will be working together in the new building; highlights how the institution is working toward a carbon-neutral future; and introduces David Flanagan, the new executive deputy chancellor of facilities management, who oversaw the final phases of construction.
