An annual gathering of researchers and students that started in 1995, when the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences was just 16 years old, has grown into a tradition that reflects the vibrant scientific environment that embodies the research enterprise at UMass Medical School.
The 2015 Research Retreat is taking place in Amherst on Oct. 8 and 9. At an anniversary celebration on the first evening of the retreat, scientists and leaders reflected on the incredible growth of the institution and the collaborative nature of the research community that makes UMMS unique.
