You’ll notice a fresh look to the umassmed.edu homepage, a first step in the rollout of a new content management system (CMS) for UMass Medical School.
With participation from a team of professionals across UMMS, EPiServer was chosen as a new CMS earlier this year. Information Services is now in the process of training users in the functionality and use of the new system. IS is offering a comprehensive training curriculum for content editors across UMMS on the use of the new CMS.
A prominent feature of the new system will be new design themes to choose from that will update the look and feel of web pages. Departments and programs will have the choice of keeping their existing design or implementing one of the new themes.
Migration and training will take place over the next six months; UMMS Web Services will be in touch with content editors and web page owners about training on the new functionality.
