Anthony Rothschild, MD, the Irving S. and Betty Brudnick Chair in Psychiatry and professor of psychiatry, spoke to Worcester Telegram & Gazette reporter Karen Nugent about a deep brain stimulation clinical trial for treatment-resistant depression at UMass Medical School.
Dr. Rothschild said UMMS is one of 20 sites nationwide selected for the St. Jude Medical Inc.-sponsored trial, and the only site in New England.
“It’s testimony that we do good things here,” Rothschild said.
