Vice Chair of ResearchResearch Interests: primary expertise is in the field of central nervous system drug delivery, balances preclinical and translational work to develop new therapies in oncology, neuroprotection, and brain injury. Her laboratory group is funded by the National Institutes of Health and other sources, research activities including formulation of drug loaded nanoparticles, imaging of nanoparticle transport, nanoparticle targeting, tissue engineering in the central nervous system, and intrathecal drug delivery.
