Sara Lyon Honored with DAISY Award  

The Department of Medicine congratulates Sara Lyon, RN, MS, an outpatient nurse navigator in the Division of Palliative Care, recently presented with a DAISY Award. A colleague nominated Sara for her unwavering compassion, commitment, and dedication to her role and her patients.  

“Sara is a world-class problem solver, and our patients and families have greater peace of mind because she is just a text or phone call away. She is the glue that holds our busy clinic together! Sara also had a vision to bring together nurse navigators from all specialties in our health system and created a community of peers who share best practices, fix problems, and support each other amid the stresses of health care,” said Jennifer Reidy, MD, MS, chief of the Division of Palliative Care and associate professor of family medicine & community health.
