Primary Care Welcome Event Brings Together Newly Hired Physicians, Educational, and Practice Leaders
The second annual New Primary Care Clinician Welcome brought together newly hired primary care clinicians, and educational and practice leaders, to connect and socialize with colleagues from UMass Memorial Health/UMass Chan Medical School Primary Care. With the support of Diane McKee, MD, MS, of Family Medicine, Joahd Toure, MD, senior vice president of the UMass Community Medical Group, Angela Beeler, MD, of General Pediatrics, and Deborah Blazey-Martin, MD, MPH, FACP, chief and associate professor of medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine, the event, held in November, provided an opportunity to build community across the departments and practices that provide longitudinal primary care to patients throughout central Massachusetts.
“As primary care leaders, we feel strongly that internists, family physicians, pediatricians, and advanced practitioners in our primary care settings are members of the same community, committed to the same goals in caring for our patients and teaching the next generation,” said Dr. Blazey-Martin. “Nurturing and supporting each other across our primary care community is a priority as we move forward.”
