Graduate Student Nursing Organization
Purpose:
The purpose of the GSNO is to support students, especially new students, during their time at the Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing by being their advocates to school leadership and providing them with fulfilling opportunities—both in school and in the community—to enhance their learning experience.
GSNO Overview:
The Tan Chingfen Graduate Student Nursing Organization (GSNO) fosters communication, coordination, and continuity among graduate students in all three schools along with the administration and faculty of the UMass Chan community.
Membership includes all full- and part-time students enrolled in the Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing. The GSNO has also become involved with student engagement initiatives, such as social events, interprofessional offerings and building community with students from the T.H. Chan School of Medicine and the Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
The GSNO and Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing students are involved in many service-related initiatives including the Dominican Republic Mission trip, Special Olympics, the UMass Medicine Cancer Walk, volunteer opportunities in local health care clinics, community refugee work and international relief missions.
