Graduate and Post-Doctoral Education
Faculty members of the Division of Geriatric Medicine are involved in the training of residents in internal medicine, family medicine, and psychiatry through their clinical practice.
Members of the division participate in the ambulatory curriculum for the internal medicine residents; this includes didactic presentations, home visits, and clinical experiences with a geriatrician.
Division faculty led the development and implementation of the Geriatric Interprofessional Immersion Training (GIIT) program. GIIT is an educational retreat for rising chief residents from multiple specialties to enhance teaching skills and care for the older adult population.
