Employment, Salary and Benefits

Fellows are employed and credentialed solely by the health center where they perform their clinical work and are paid a salary of $112, 500 (MDs) or $100, 785 (NPs or PAs). They are full-time employees of their health center and have standard health, dental, disability, and malpractice insurance coverage. They also receive five days of continuing medical education time and financial support, licensing reimbursement, sick and personal time, and four weeks of paid vacation time.  Although the fellowship has an academic affiliation with UMass, fellows are not UMass employees nor are they credentialed to work at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
