The UMass Chan Medical School Endocrinology Fellowship program is committed to developing endocrinologists of superior clinical and academic caliber who can serve the needs of patients in the United States and internationally through clinical care, service, teaching, and research. The subspecialty training program is designed to provide advanced training and experience at a level for the trainee to acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and experience required for all the competencies needed by a consultant in this field. This program is designed to fulfill the needs of those trainees who anticipate their future activities to be solely the clinical practice of this specialty, those who expect to function as clinician-educators, and those who intend to pursue careers in endocrine research. The teaching environment and educational experiences for trainees will equip them to become strong clinicians, educators, and investigators.
We offer a two-year clinical fellowship. A three-year research fellowship may be offered to highly motivated fellows who wish to pursue a career in research.
